About NL Fuel Prices — Newfoundland & Labrador Gas Price Tracker
Fuel prices in Newfoundland and Labrador are regulated by the Public Utilities Board (PUB) and change at midnight — often daily. I Heard Tell is a free community platform where people across the province share early signals before the PUB makes the official announcement.
We track regular gasoline, diesel, furnace oil, and propane prices across all NL zones — including the Avalon Peninsula, Northeast Avalon, Conception Bay, Central Newfoundland, Western NL, Burin Peninsula, and Labrador.
Communities reporting include: St. John's, Mount Pearl, CBS, Paradise, Conception Bay South, Corner Brook, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Clarenville, Marystown, Stephenville, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and Labrador City.
Official prices are confirmed daily at pub.nf.ca. Community reports on I Heard Tell are unverified — they reflect what people are hearing, not official prices.
"She's gone up again. Might as well get the oil changed while you're at it. Kenny's Auto, Kelligrews."

Why this exists.
Fuel prices in Newfoundland and Labrador change without warning.
By law, the Public Utilities Board announces price adjustments only after they take effect — at midnight. As of 2026, with global oil markets in flux, those changes are happening more frequently than ever.
For many people, that is more than an inconvenience.
Seniors managing heating costs on a fixed income. Young families balancing rising expenses just to get to work. Students stretching a tank across classes and shifts. Rural communities where driving is not optional, and every cent-per-litre increase carries real weight.
In this province, fuel is not discretionary. It is part of how people live, work, and stay connected. And when prices shift without warning, it places real pressure on households already navigating rising costs.
But the insight people need to plan ahead is not missing — it is simply scattered.
It moves through conversations at the pumps, messages between neighbours, and quiet word-of-mouth from those closer to the supply chain. Some people hear early. Most do not.
This platform exists to change that.
I Heard Tell is a community-powered information network — built to share early signals, level access, and give everyone the same chance at a heads-up.
This is not about replacing official information. It is about strengthening community awareness in the space before official updates arrive.
Every report here is unverified and community-submitted. Over time, we track patterns, accuracy, and reliability — not individuals.
We do not collect names. We do not track personal data. We do not monitor behaviour.
No names. No tracking. Just shared knowledge.
